Charlotte premiered a new work on her students at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. /
Charlotte premiered a new work last weekend at Cornish Playhouse in downtown Seattle.
The work was choreographed in collaboration with her students at Cornish College of the Arts.
Lines Drawn was conceived as if a ritual for an imagined community to move through daily, to repeatedly define their world over and over as if movement created the world, and vice versa.

Collaborator: Alex Barsky. /
Alex Barsky, who is one of our brilliant collaborators for “AND SO WE SOW” is a Seattle-based animator and educator. Her work explores human and natural relationships in contemporary culture, which often culminates in internal and external struggle, disorder, and violence.
Her award-winning short films have screened at festivals around the world, including SXSW, Animation Block Party, and the Toronto Arthouse Film Festival. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Animation at Cornish College of the Arts. Join us on December 22nd at Left of Main in Vancouver and you will get to see her innovative work up close!

Residency in Richmond, Virginia. /

Charlotte was in Virginia a couple of weeks ago creating a new work on the dynamic dancers in the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Richmond. Last time that we were there as a company was in 2019 when we created the evening length production “Cross Currents” at the American Civil War Museum! We so appreciate the relationship that we have developed with the Department, it is exciting to watch it evolve in new and interesting ways.
